I need your opionions about jet kits, power commanders, and full exhaust!

Currently I own a 1997 Honda CBR 600 F3 with the only change being a K & N air filter. I've been tossing around the idea of adding a jet kit, a power commander, and full exhaust system. But a friend of mine, who happens to have the same bike which is the fastest 600 in town, said that all I need is a full exhaust sytem. He says that this will give me plenty of power. I was wondering if I should believe him, or maybe he just doesn't want my bike to be running as strong as his bike. What do you think? Also who do you think makes the best full exhaust system. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i could be wrong, but i believe power commanders are only for fuel injected models. if you put on a full exhaust you would need to rejet the carb though.

If it's power you want then get nitrous.

Morphine is correct. A power commander is for fuel injected bikes.

A full system will (or should) require a jet kit. Here are some other things to consider:
    - Vance & Hines Power Pak
    - sprocket change

I don't know what your criteria is for the fastest 600 in town, but take it to the track and have him prove it to you in the TURNS. IMHO, a straight line means nothing.
