    Mapping question

    I ride a 2004 cbr600f4i. The mods I have done are:

520 conversion +2 in the rear and -1 in the front.

    Pc3 power commander.

    KN filter

    And a Hindle slip on.

I recently cut the Hindle from 20" to 16" for that lower end power. Now I need a map for the power commander. I have gone through a dozen of so and Im runnin really rich and or have flat spots throught the curve. Anyone running this set up?or similar?

cutting the pipe did the exact opposite of wat u were expecting... uve since lost low-end power.  almost all mods that increase airflow through the engine will shift the power curve to higher rpms, meaning u lose everything down low in exchange for an increase in max power.  a "seat of the pants" dyno is easily fooled, esp since im sure u like the fact that the bike is louder.

a custom map is the only way to go here, done by a professional using a dyno and A/F sensor.  ull never get it perfect otherwise...
