Hey guys. I have searched the posts about this phenomenom, and I did not find anything that helped me. The bike has 17500 miles, and the problem is that when the bike gets really warm, it wants to die at idle. The tach jumps up and down ~500 RPMs. I have to keep the throttle open or increase the idle engine speed. I know that this is not the fix. I have just cleaned the carbs today, put the stock pipe back on and tried to sych the carbs. I really could not do it, because the idle was jumping, it was not steady. I still have K&N. Also I have put seafoam in the gas tank. I have checked the regulator/rectifier wiring harness, but not reg/rec itself. I know that it could be a vacuum leak that can do this, but have not heard it while running the engine. The battery is brand new. I do not know where to go from here. Once I get going on the bike there is no problem. Exhaust fumes are really strong, seems like I am running rich. Any help would be really appreciated.
