I have a salvaged motorcyle and I need to get a salvaged inspection.  Is there anyone other than the state police who do this.  They told me it would take 2-4 weeks for this and I would like to try to get it done faster.  The bike was a theft recovery and there is nothing wrong with it but since the insurence paid it out it classified as salvage.

Unfortunately with the way that VA works it is going to have to be handled by the state police. They are the regulatory agency governing all inspections actually. Times to get it done vary between areas in the state though because the trooper has to be a certified motorcycle inspector to do it. Good luck and make sure you have everything lined up.

I'm a Trooper in Va. I'm not sure where you are located however if you call (804)674-2916 you can speak with our safety division and they will direct you to the Trooper who can do that inspection for you.
